Fire Mission Mobile Mechanic – Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: July 12, 2025
1. Agreement to Terms
By booking a service with Fire Mission Mobile Mechanic (an LLC registered in Michigan), the client (“you” or “Customer”) agrees to the following Terms & Conditions. These may be updated and posted on the website at any time, with revised versions effective immediately upon posting.
2. Service Coverage & Travel Fees

We provide mobile mechanic services within Grand Rapids, Michigan, and surrounding areas (within 30 miles).

Service locations outside this zone may incur a travel fee of $25, disclosed during booking.
3. Booking, Payments & Deposits
-
Payment: Due in full at the time of service via cash, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, Square, or manual methods.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit may be required for extensive or custom parts orders. Full payment is required on the day of service, prior to work commencement.

You are responsible for any third-party processing fees incurred by your chosen payment method.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.

Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a $25 cancellation fee, payable before future services.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel due to weather, safety concerns, tool/equipment issues, or emergencies. In such cases, no cancellation fee will be charged.
5. Labor, Parts, and Warranty

Labor Warranty: We offer a 30-day warranty on all labor. This covers only the specific repair performed and does not include unrelated issues.

Parts Warranty: Parts are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty only. We do not provide separate labor warranty for failures of third-party parts.

Customer-Supplied Parts: Using parts provided by you voids our labor warranty on that part.
6. Liability & Indemnification

We will exercise reasonable care during service. However, we are not liable for pre-existing damage, hidden vehicle defects, or unrelated mechanical failures after service completion.

We are not responsible for theft or damage to personal items left in or on the vehicle.

You agree to indemnify and hold Fire Mission Mobile Mechanic harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your actions, misrepresentations, negligence, or failure to follow guidelines during service.
7. Customer Responsibilities & Conditions

Ensure your vehicle is parked in a safe, accessible, legal area with sufficient room for tools and inspection.

Provide accurate vehicle information (make, model, VIN, issue description). Misrepresentation may delay or cancel service.

If a location is unsafe or non-compliant (e.g. on a busy road without proper safety measures), we reserve the right to refuse service without refund.
8. Pricing Transparency & Estimates

Provided estimates are approximate and may change based on actual diagnosis or parts requirements.

Any charge exceeding the estimate by more than 15% will require your approval before proceeding.

Final invoices are due upon completion and must be paid in full before departing.
9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes not resolved amicably within 30 days will be addressed through binding mediation in Kent County, Michigan, before pursuing legal action.

You agree that courts in Michigan have exclusive jurisdiction over any unresolved legal disputes.
10. Cancellation Fees

Flat cancellation fees (e.g., $25 for late/no-show) are not taxed and are not subject to state tax, per Michigan law.
11. Applicable Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, including Michigan’s Sales Tax Act and business regulations.
12. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
13. Acknowledgment of Terms
By booking or receiving service, you acknowledge:

You have reviewed, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Payment and cancellation policies are clear and acceptable.

You consent to the 30-day labor warranty and understand its scope.

You agree to mediate any unresolved disputes in Kent County.
14. Privacy Statement
We collect personal information (e.g., name, contact, vehicle details) for service delivery only. We do not sell or share your data outside of service-related use. You may request to view or correct your information at any time.
15. Media, Photos & Social Media Recording
Fire Mission Mobile Mechanic may document service work through photos or video recordings for quality assurance, training, or promotional use (such as social media or our website).
By booking a service, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

Photos/videos may be taken of the vehicle and repair process.

We will not show license plates, personal details, faces, or private property without prior consent.

Media may be used in marketing, advertising, social media, and educational content unless the customer provides a written request to opt out.
-
If you do not want any media captured or used, you must notify us in writing prior to service.
We respect your privacy and will honor all reasonable requests regarding media use.
